Cabinet on Stand decorated with inlay work in various woods and ivory in an Indian Islamic pattern of intersecting circles. The upper section has an arrangement of ten drawers simulating twelve for the sake of symmetry. The base, supported by caryatid figures has two drawers and one large drawer simulating two drawers. The cabinet is embellished with a typical set of metalwork of fretted brass escutcheons, handles and corner pieces. Rows of brass tacks further enhance the decorative effect of this typical Goan piece of furniture.
