Oil on canvas, depicting Catherine of Braganza, daughter of John V of Portugal and Luisa Gusman(of the Spanish Medina-Sidónia house). The young Princess is depicted standing, wearing a pink dress with embroidered flowers. This portrait was probably painted, when she was 24 years old, shortly after her arrival in England and her marriage to king Charles II of England. |
