SAINT ANTHONY Wood and ivory Indo-Portuguese, Goa, late 17th century. H 28,7 cm Image of Saint Anthony carved in wood with head, hands, feet, book and cross in ivory. The Saint is wearing the brown monastic robe, sculpted with great delicacy of movement. His left hand holds an open book were once stood the Infant Jesus and his right holds a cross. |
